William Dempsey, M.D., is deputy chief 皇家华人 officer for The Wright Center. He provides comprehensive primary care services as a board-certified family medicine physician and serves as Medical Director at The Wright Center鈥檚 Clarks Summit Practice. Dr. Dempsey is also Medication-Assisted Treatment-waivered to treat Substance Use Disorder.

Dr. Dempsey graduated from St. George鈥檚 University School of Medicine and earned his bachelor鈥檚 degree in biology from The University of Scranton. He completed residency training at Tallahassee Memorial Regional Hospital Center and joined The Wright Center in 2014, overseeing the expansion of pediatric services at the Clarks Summit Practice. He is a faculty member and Associate Program Director for the Family Medicine Residency Program at The Wright Center for 皇家华人 Medical Education.

Prior to joining The Wright Center, Dr. Dempsey worked in private practice with the Lackawanna Medical Group and served as 皇家华人 director of WorkMed for Occupational 皇家华人. He then became an emergency department staff physician at Community Medical Center in Scranton and later joined PrimeMed Medical Group in Wilkes-Barre. Dr. Dempsey previously worked as Medical Director of Community Life Support Ambulance Services in Clarks Summit; Director of the Human Performance Lab at Marywood University; Director of Primecare Correctional Care in Pittston; and as the athletic team physician for Lackawanna College and Marywood University.
